Joachim Loew Not Satisfied with German Performance
Germany coach Joachim Loew has not been 100 percent satisfied with his team’s slip to the 2018 World Cup.
He considered that Der Panzer could perform better in the tournament that will take place in Russia.
Germany qualified for the 2018 World Cup as champions of Group C with a perfect 30 points, the result always winning from 10 games.
Die Mannschaft closed the 2018 World Cup Qualifying round with a 5-1 victory over Azerbaijan at Fritz Walter Stadium, Kaiserslautern, Germany, Sunday (8/10/2017) or Monday morning GMT.
Joachim Loew was not completely satisfied with the performance of Bernd Leno et al in the match.
“We had difficulty in the beginning because we have not played players like this before, only in the second half of Germany improved,” said Loew, as quoted from Kicker.
According to Loew, Germany’s performance during the qualifying round can not be used as a benchmark as what Die Mannschaft will compete in Russia later.
“It’s a mistake to think that the qualifying round reflects Germany’s performance, but we made a good achievement, but Germany has to play at a different level at the next World Cup,” he said.
Before Germany, there was only Spain who managed to record a perfect record in World Cup qualifying.
Spain appear unbeaten in the 2010 World Cup qualifying phase.
Germany may be proud of their productivity. Total, this 2014 world champion scored 43 goals.
